The first marketing training seminar I ever attended was with Tom Hopkins and Jim Rohn back in 1991.

To this day I remember a quote from each of them:
Tom Hopkins…

“Work is doing whatever you are doing when you’d rather be doing something else.”

Jim Rohn…
“In order for things to get better I must get better. In order for things to change I must change.”

After 20 years of attending seminars, I’ve discovered the Power To Attending Live events is with the relationships you develop. It goes back to something I heard Mark Victor Hansen say over and over again…

“It’s not who you know, but who knows you!”

When I do a map of all the key relationships in my life today, 90% of the people I met thru an event or seminar.

Live events give you face to face time with people. Not only do you get the benefit of the information you learn at the event, but get to discuss it with other like minded people.

Joint ventures and other kinds of partnerships are created and developed at live events all the time. It’s a face to face synergy. It boils down to relationships!

Everyone comes to the table with different skills, talents and resources.  When one is at a live event  you get the opportunity to explore how you may be able to help each other.

I can’t remember who said it, but it went something like this…
“If you are forming a team and one of you have the same skill and resources, one of you is not needed!’

JV can be as simple as, one person has a great product but doesn’t have list to send his offer too. Arrangements like this happen all the time at live events.

If there is one thing I’d recommend to anyone attending a live event is, be helpful. Be the connector in the room. Find out where people need help and then try to introduce those people to those that can help them.

Here is another great quote I love…(Can’t remember who said it)
“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”! Help other people and people will help you. It’s a universal law.
